Medical Postgraduate Courses NEET-PG 2024 in the State of Maharashtra, Selection & Admission Procedure

As per the NEET-PG 2024 Maharashtra Information Brochure, candidates seeking admission to medical postgraduate courses (MD/MS/Diploma) in the state are required to follow specific procedures and fulfill the criteria defined in it. 1. Definitions

2. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility: Candidates should be Indian nationals with an MBBS degree from a recognized institution in Maharashtra and must have completed an internship as per MMC by the prescribed period until 15th August 2024

Must qualify NEET-PG 2024, percentile cut-offs being different for each category (50% and 40% respectively).

Must have medical registration from NMC or MMC and other criteria for ex-servicemen candidates, and foreign national candidates.

3. Counseling Process

The process of counseling comprises multiple rounds where the seat allocation takes place according to the rank and preferences chosen by the candidate, after which document verification happens at the college to which they are allowed.

4. Documents Requirements

To gain admission, students need to carry key documents such as NEET-PG 2024 admit card, scorecard, MBBS degree, and internship completion certificate among other requirements of identity proof.

Unemployment certificate, JCO Certificate or discharge book (as applicable), caste, non-creamy layer, and EWS certificates will also be obligatory for category-specific document verification along with medical fitness certificate and bond release.

9. Medical Certificate

Medical Fitness Certificate Proforma is required for all Candidates. The form should be filled out by a qualified medical professional to confirm the physical status of the candidate.
